NEWS DESKAccording to the Global Peace Index (GPI) report, Iceland is ranked as the most peaceful country in the world, while Bangladesh holds the 123rd position.
The report, published by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), evaluates 163 independent states and regions based on factors such as social security, ongoing internal and international conflicts, and the level of militarization.
Iceland has secured the top position in the 2025 Global Peace Index. It also ranks third in the World Happiness Report and is considered one of the most sought-after travel destinations in the Northern Hemisphere.
Following Iceland are Ireland, New Zealand, Austria, and Switzerland. Argentina, a Latin American country, is ranked 46th, while Brazil is ranked 130th.
At the bottom of the list is Russia, and the United States is ranked 128th.
