NEWS DESKThe results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 have been published. This year, the average pass rate across the nine general education boards, along with the Madrasa and Technical Education Boards, stands at 58.83 percent. Among them, the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board recorded the highest pass rate, while the Comilla Education Board had the lowest.
All education boards published their results simultaneously at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
The overall pass rate across the 11 education boards is 58.83 percent. This marks a significant decrease of 19 percent compared to last year’s pass rate of 77.78 percent.
Professor Dr. Khondoker Ehsanul Haque, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, gave a briefing regarding the results at the Dhaka Education Board office in Bakshibazar, the capital.
He stated the following pass rates for each board:
Professor Ehsanul Haque also reported that a total of 69,097 students achieved GPA-5 (the highest grade) this year, whereas 145,911 students secured GPA-5 last year.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on June 26, with written exams concluding on August 19. Practical exams were held from August 21 to 31. A total of 1,251,111 students participated in the exams under 11 education boards.
