In the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election of bangladesh, between 90,000 to 100,000 soldiers will be deployed, said Akhtar Ahmed, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) of the country.
In order to ensure the election is free, fair, and participatory, discussions on various matters took place in a dialogue session with law enforcement representatives. The meeting began on Monday (October 20) morning at the Election Commission office in Agargaon, Dhaka.
After the meeting, the EC Secretary stated, "There will definitely be a conducive environment for the election. Around 90,000 to 100,000 soldiers, along with 150,000 police officers, will be deployed. Additionally, 550,000 Ansar personnel will be assigned duties."
Regarding ongoing fires in various locations and concerns over the election environment, the Secretary responded that the issue of fires was not discussed in the meeting.
Regarding the looted weapons, he mentioned, "85% of the looted weapons have been recovered, and efforts are ongoing for the remaining ones."
