Chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus went to Evercare Hospital to visit Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
He reached the hospital after 7 pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday. Confirming the matter, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that they welcomed Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus from hospital. Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and Professor Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder directly took him to Chairperson.
Earlier, chiefs of three forces went to Evercare to see Khaleda Zia yesterday after 8 pm Bangladesh time. They inquired about the BNP Chairperson's health from the medical board members and left the hospital at 9:20 pm.
80-year-old Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various physical complications including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, liver cirrhosis, and kidney complications for a long time. She was taken to Evercare Hospital on the night of November 23 after experiencing breathing difficulties. This former Prime Minister is undergoing treatment under the supervision of local and foreign specialist doctors of the Medical Board. More time is needed for full recovery.
From London, her eldest son Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman are keeping a close eye on Khaleda Zia's physical condition.
In addition, Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sinthi, wife of her younger son, the late Arafat Rahman Koko, is by her side in the hospital.
