Bangladesh has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, describing the incident as a violation of international law and established norms.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bangladesh said the government conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the people of brotherly Iran.

The statement noted that the Government of Bangladesh is deeply saddened to learn that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a planned attack. It characterized such an act as a clear breach of international law and diplomatic conventions.

The Foreign Ministry further stated that Bangladesh believes conflict does not bring solutions; rather, disputes should be resolved through dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law.
