Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reaffirmed his government's unwavering stance against corruption, stating that decisive measures will be implemented across all administrative levels to ensure accountability.
Speaking at an Iftar banquet hosted for foreign diplomats at the State Guest House Jamuna on Friday (March 6), the Premier emphasized that his administration is deeply committed to safeguarding human rights, protecting freedom of speech, and fostering a culture of tolerance within the nation. He highlighted that building a transparent governance system is a top priority for his leadership.
During the gathering, the Prime Minister also sought the support of the international community for Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, who is Bangladesh’s candidate for the Presidency of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The event provided an opportunity for the Prime Minister to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing mutual cooperation with the ambassadors and high commissioners present. PM Tarique Rahman was accompanied at the Iftar by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman. The occasion served as a significant moment for reinforcing diplomatic friendships and showcasing Bangladesh’s future vision on the global stage.
