Prime Minister Tarique Rahman Hosts Iftar for Islamic Scholars and Orphans

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman hosted an iftar gathering in honor of Islamic scholars, religious leaders, and orphaned children on Saturday at the State Guest House Jamuna in the capital.

The event brought together orphans and prominent Islamic scholars (ulema and mashayekh) for a communal iftar during the holy month of Ramadan.

Among those attending the gathering were Religious Affairs Minister Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Social Welfare Minister Prof. Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shah Alam, Chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation Shaykh Ahmadullah, and the Khatib of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, Mufti Abdul Malek.

Also present at the event were Prime Minister’s Advisor Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar, Press Secretary Saleh Shibly, and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
