Khilafat Majlis Holds Mass Rally in Dhaka Demanding Referendum Verdict Implementation

A mass rally organized by Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis has begun at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, calling for the full implementation of the referendum verdict and the July Charter.

The formal proceedings of the rally started after Friday’s congregational prayers, drawing a large turnout of party leaders and activists.

Supporters began arriving at the venue early in the morning, traveling by buses, launches, and trains despite intense heat to participate in the program.

The rally is being presided over by the party’s Ameer, Mamunul Haque. In addition to senior leaders of Khilafat Majlis, key figures from the opposition, including the leader of the opposition in parliament, the chief whip, and top leaders of the 11-party alliance, are expected to address the gathering.

The event is seen as a significant political mobilization amid ongoing discussions over governance and opposition demands in Bangladesh.
