NCP agrees with two-thirds of reform recommendations

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has said it fully agrees with 113 out of the 166 recommendations made in the National Consensus Commission's spreadsheet sent to political parties.

The NCP submitted its written opinion to the National Consensus Commission at the National Parliament Complex this afternoon (23 March).

Talking to reporters afterwards, NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar said, "Out of the 166 proposals in the Consensus Commission's spreadsheet, we fully agree with 113 proposals. We partially agree with 29 proposals, and we could not agree on 22 proposals."

He added, "Very important commissions, such as the Police Reform Commission and the Local Government Reform Commission, have not sent us their reports.

"We have not seen these reports, and we have asked the commission about its stance on this issue."
