Masuma Hadi, sister of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, has called on the government to investigate and verify recent remarks made by former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that allegedly hinted at the circumstances surrounding her brother’s murder. She also urged the authorities to seek international assistance if necessary.
Speaking at a press conference at the Nalchity Press Club in Jhalakathi on Monday, Masuma Hadi said the state has a responsibility to take Mamata Banerjee’s comments seriously and diplomatically determine who was involved in the killing of Osman Hadi.
She vowed not to return home until justice is served, warning that if legal loopholes are used to delay the trial, patriotic citizens would unite to ensure accountability at any cost.
Addressing the Prime Minister, she appealed for swift justice, stating, “Our family respectfully requests that you ensure the speedy trial of my brother’s murder. By delivering justice, you can set an example and inspire future generations with the values Osman Hadi stood for.”
Masuma Hadi also criticized law enforcement agencies for what she described as negligence in allowing the accused to flee. She questioned how the alleged killers were able to escape to India after Osman Hadi was shot dead on December 12, 2025.
She called for an investigation into whether any members of state security forces or political organizations were involved in the crime.
Raising concerns over repeated changes to the schedule for submitting the charge sheet in the murder case, she demanded that all individuals involved—including planners, financiers, and those who ordered the killing—be named in the charge sheet and that the findings be made public.
Family members, including Osman Hadi’s brother-in-law Md. Amir Hossain, were also present at the press conference.
