Offer Solutions in Parliament, Not Threats on Streets: Rizvi to Opposition

Senior BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has urged opposition parties to present concrete proposals in Parliament to address the nation's gas and electricity shortages, rather than resorting to street demonstrations and march threats.

Speaking at a cultural event in Dhaka on Friday, Rizvi stated that the current energy crisis stems largely from ongoing international conflicts and flawed planning by the previous administration. He emphasized that constructing artificial political stalemates would only exacerbate national challenges.

Rizvi highlighted that disruptions along the Strait of Hormuz have severely impacted global fuel imports, clarifying that the current supply issues are beyond the immediate control of the government. He called on opposition lawmakers to utilize parliamentary debate to offer viable policy alternatives.
