Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Miah Golam Porwar has accused the governing administration of creating disparities in local development allocation between ruling party and opposition lawmakers. Tuesday

speaking at a press conference in the capital, he criticized the government for exhibiting one-sided authority and falsely shifting blame onto opposition groups to mask its internal instability and governance failures. He argued that these counterproductive actions and political side-lining are inadvertently creating space for autocratic elements to regain a foothold in the country's political landscape.

The press conference addressed several key issues, including allegations of administrative interference in religious gatherings and madrasa governing bodies, as well as the government's approach toward constitutional reform. Furthermore, highlighting a recent foreign affairs issue regarding the execution of two citizens in Saudi Arabia, the leadership labeled the incident a major failure of diplomatic protocol and legal protection for overseas nationals, calling for immediate accountability and corrective measures.
