'March for Gaza' to be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on Saturday

A massive protest titled “March for Gaza” will take place in Dhaka on Saturday, 12 April at 3 PM, organized by the Palestine Solidarity Movement, Bangladesh. The march will proceed towards the Suhrawardy Udyan.

It is being held to protest the continued Israeli assault on Gaza, which has claimed thousands of civilian lives over the past year, including women and children.

The organizers have condemned the silence of the international community and the passive role of Muslim leaders in the face of what they describe as ongoing war crimes and crimes against humanity.

They called on people from all religious and political backgrounds to join the march in a united show of support for the Palestinian people.

In light of recent incidents of vandalism during protests in Sylhet, Chattogram, and other areas, the movement issued a strong statement denouncing such acts as sabotage.

The upcoming protest has garnered widespread support from prominent figures across Bangladeshi society. Public endorsements and video messages have been shared by individuals such as Mahmudur Rahman, Mizanur Rahman Azhari, Shaykh Ahmadullah, Maulana Mamunul Haque,bdullah bin Abdur Razzaq, Abul Kalam Azad Bashar, Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed, Hasnat Abdullah, Jahidul Islam, Muhammad Abu Sadik (Kayem), Dr. Fayzul Haque, Dr. Asif Mahtab, A.S.M. Nasir Uddin Elan, Maulana Rezaul Karim Abrar, Maulana Abdul Hai Saifullah, Salahuddin Ahmed, Nurul Haque Nur, Rashed Khan, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, and Nahid Rana, Mojibur Rahman Monju, Ayman Sadiq, Ratul Khan and many other notable public figures from various walks of life.
