In a significant escalation of hostilities, the Israeli military has conducted a series of fresh airstrikes targeting Iran's capital, Tehran, and the strategic city of Isfahan. On Friday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced via the social media platform X that they had struck several key infrastructures belonging to the Iranian regime.
According to reports from Iran's Noor News, at least three locations in the city of Qom were also targeted shortly after Israeli forces warned civilians in an industrial area to evacuate. These coordinated attacks mark a sharpening of the direct confrontation between the two regional powers.
Simultaneously, Israel is intensifying its military operations and ground incursions into Lebanon. Israel Army Radio reported that several soldiers were wounded during these operations on the Lebanese border, including the son of Israel’s hardline Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich. Amidst the ongoing violence, Smotrich has issued a provocative threat, vowing to turn parts of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, into ruins similar to Khan Yunis in Gaza. As Israel continues its multi-front offensive in both Iran and Lebanon, the risk of a wider regional war remains at an all-time high, drawing global concern over the worsening humanitarian and geopolitical crisis.
