United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appeared in public for the first time since the outbreak of hostilities between Israel, the United States, and Iran, delivering a strong warning to Tehran and describing Iran as an “enemy.”

Speaking during a visit to a hospital on Saturday, the UAE president made the remarks while meeting civilians who were injured in recent attacks and are currently receiving treatment.

Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE should not be viewed as an easy target. “The United Arab Emirates is not an easy prey, and if necessary, the country’s strength can reach far,” he stated.

Addressing Iran directly, he said, “The United Arab Emirates is beautiful and a model worth following. But do not be misled by that. The UAE’s reach is long and powerful. Our skin is thick, our blood is bitter, and we are not an easy target.”

The UAE president also emphasized the government’s responsibility to ensure the safety of citizens and residents. “It is the duty of the government to guarantee the security of our citizens and everyone living here. We are fulfilling our responsibility to protect our country, our people, and all those who reside in the UAE,” he said.

He added a prayer for the nation’s protection, saying, “May God protect the United Arab Emirates, keep its people safe, and grant the country peace and security.”

Sheikh Mohamed further stated that the challenges ahead would only make the country stronger. “What lies ahead will make the UAE stronger. I promise that the coming days will prove our strength even more,” he said.

His remarks came shortly after the UAE’s air defense system intercepted a missile attack. Earlier, Iran’s president had indicated that attacks in the Gulf region might soon cease.
