Iran and Pakistan Agree to Boost Cooperation on Regional Security

Iran and Pakistan have agreed to enhance coordination and bilateral cooperation to ensure regional security and improve border management.

The consensus was reached during a high-level meeting between Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Pakistan's Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, held on Tuesday (July 21) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

According to a statement from the Pakistan military’s media wing, the discussions covered a broad range of bilateral security concerns and mutual interests. During the dialogue, Minister Momeni praised Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic role and efforts toward de-escalating regional tensions and fostering peace. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to developing closer strategic collaboration to maintain regional stability and promote shared prosperity.
