NEWS DESKSwedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has responded firmly to U.S. President Donald Trump's recent remarks labeling her as a "troublemaker" after she was detained during a Gaza-bound flotilla mission.
Trump criticized Thunberg after she was part of a flotilla of aid workers attempting to break the Gaza blockade, which led to her and over 400 other activists being detained by the Israeli Navy. Thunberg was sent to Slovakia after being returned to Turkey.
During a press briefing at the White House, Trump called Thunberg a “troublemaker,” adding that she was no longer focused on the environment and had “anger management issues.”
In response, Thunberg took to Facebook to thank Trump for his concern over her mental health, describing his comments as "overly complimentary." However, she didn’t stop there, taking a direct jab at the president: "If you have any suggestions on how to deal with this so-called ‘anger management problem,’ I’d gladly accept them, as your impressive track record suggests you might be familiar with the issue yourself!"
