Uproar, 'Recognize Palestine' Chants During Trump's Speech at Israeli Parliament

US President Donald Trump's speech in the Israeli Knesset was dramatically interrupted by screaming hecklers today (13 October).

Knesset members Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassir, of the Arab-Jewish socialist Hadash party, reportedly held up a banner saying 'recognise Palestine' before being escorted out, according to media reports.

As they were being removed, other members of the Knesset chanted "Trump! Trump! Trump!"

The Knesset Speaker apologised to Trump, who responded "That was very efficient".

The interruption comes as Trump is being hailed for brokering a Gaza ceasefire and securing the full release of all living Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

Hamas freed the last 20 surviving Israeli hostages today while Israel freed Palestinian prisoners and detainees under a US-brokered ceasefire deal.
