With the slogan “No Fascist – No Dictator, No Kings,” nationwide protests and rallies against fascism and authoritarianism are set to take place across the United States this Saturday.

According to organizers, the rallies are a continuation of the widespread protests that took place on June 14 in nearly 1,800 cities and major locations across the U.S., condemning President Donald Trump’s “un-American actions,” authoritarian tendencies, and erosion of democratic values.

This time, organizers say, the tone and mood of the rallies will be more intense than ever before.

Local authorities have taken extra security measures to maintain peace and order. With permission from park and police departments, the rallies—under the theme “No Kings” (signifying “we reject kings and dictators”)—will be held across the country. As before, major demonstrations are expected in immigrant-heavy cities like New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Kansas City, New Orleans, and San Francisco.

Organizers claim that recent decisions to deploy the National Guard in Democrat-led cities and the increased control by federal authorities have further fueled public outrage against President Trump.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican, dismissed the movement as “extremist activity,” calling it part of a “conspiracy to paralyze the federal administration.” In response, Independent Senator Bernie Sanders said, “The ‘No Kings’ rally is not an expression of hatred toward America; rather, it represents the voices of millions committed to protecting freedom and democratic values. This rally sends a clear message calling for an end to President Trump’s authoritarian rule.”

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded briefly, asking, “A protest over what?”

Organizers also allege that ahead of the United States’ 250th Independence Day on July 4, President Trump is attempting to portray himself as a “king or emperor.” As a result, one move after another is being taken against the U.S. Constitution and core human values.

They further state that the Trump administration has not only targeted political opponents but also harassed members of his own party. Trump reportedly threatened to withhold federal funding if his preferred candidate, Andrew Cuomo, does not win the New York mayoral race. Meanwhile, Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, a popular figure among Muslim-American youth, is currently leading in public opinion polls.

The website of the "No Kings Rally" states that the goal of the movement is to send a message to the world: “There are no kings in America, no dictators; real power in America belongs to the people.”
