Donald Trump has said that the United States will work with Iran to retrieve enriched uranium from the country.
In an interview with Reuters on Friday, Trump stated, “We are going to jointly recover Iran’s enriched uranium. We will carry out the process carefully in cooperation with Iran. We will bring in large equipment, begin excavation, and transport that material to the United States.”
During the interview, Trump also referred to what he described as “nuclear dust,” indicating that efforts would begin to recover such materials.
According to the report, the term “nuclear dust” appears to refer to remnants of nuclear facilities in Iran that were destroyed during airstrikes carried out last June by the United States and Israel.
