Russia and Iran Hold High-Level Call, Emphasize Ceasefire and Maritime Security

During the call, Lavrov stressed the importance of maintaining a sustainable ceasefire and called for continued diplomatic efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts.

From Iran’s side, Araghchi assured full cooperation with Russia. He confirmed that Iran is prepared to ensure the safety of Russian vessels and cargo shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran also reiterated its commitment to allowing Russian commercial ships to use this key maritime route without any disruption.

The conversation is seen as a sign of strengthening strategic ties between Moscow and Tehran amid the current global geopolitical situation.
