Diplomatic missions across twelve Middle Eastern countries have issued a joint travel warning advising citizens against traveling to the region due to ongoing conflicts, airspace closures, and flight cancellations.
The advisory applies to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Iran, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Israel. Residents and travelers currently in these locations are urged to remain highly vigilant, track flight operations directly with airlines, and prepare for sudden disruptions or security changes.
The official statement highlighted risks associated with targeted attacks on civilian infrastructure and airports by regional armed groups, which continue to disrupt commercial aviation. Foreign nationals are strongly advised to verify flight schedules beforehand and register with the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive real-time security updates and facilitate diplomatic assistance during emergency situations.
