Renowned Islamic scholar and speaker Dr. Zakir Naik is set to visit Bangladesh for the first time on November 28. According to organizers, he will arrive in Dhaka to attend one of his own events.
Razz, the head of Spark Event Management, confirmed to the media that if all goes as planned, the event will likely take place at Agargaon in Dhaka. He also mentioned that further details about Dr. Naik’s visit and the program will be officially announced at a press conference after October 20.
But the Foreign Ministry of the country is not aware of his visit, said Foreign Advisor Touhid Hossain.
He gave this information in response to a question while talking to media personnel at the Foreign Ministry on October 28 regarding recent issues.
Touhid Hossain also mentioned that he first heard about Dr. Zakir Naik's arrival in Dhaka from journalists.
Meanwhile, regarding the foreign observer organization in the upcoming parliamentary elections, he said that the Election Commission will take care of the invitation of foreign observers during the elections, and the government does not want to bring anyone who will create unnecessary controversy.
The Foreign Affairs Advisor also commented that friendly countries have no doubts about holding the elections in February.
In addition, regarding Dhaka's relations with Beijing, Touhid Hossain said that there is no reason for other countries, including the United States, to be concerned about relations with China.
