Attack on Sharif Osman Hadi Is An Attack on Bangladesh's Existence

Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor to the interim government, said that those involved in the attack on Inquilab Mancha spokesman Sharif Osman Hadi have been initially identified. I want to assure the countrymen that those involved in this conspiracy, wherever they are, will not be spared.

The Chief Advisor said, “I want to say clearly that this evil attempt by the defeated power fascist terrorists will be completely thwarted. No one can stop the democratic progress of this country by intimidation, terrorism or shedding blood.”

The Chief Advisor said this in his address to the nation on the occasion of the great Victory Day on Tuesday.

The Chief Advisor said, "I have come before you today with a very sad heart. On this joyous day, I inform you with deep sorrow that the recent attack on Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of the Inqilab Manch, a frontline fighter of the July Uprising, is not just an attack on an individual - it is an attack on the existence of Bangladesh, an attack on our democratic path."

He said, "Sharif Osman Hadi is currently undergoing treatment in a critical condition. The government has taken all necessary measures to ensure his treatment and safety. He has already been sent to Singapore for better treatment. Please pray to Almighty Allah for him from the bottom of your hearts."

The Chief Advisor said, "The government is viewing this incident with great importance. Those involved in the incident have been initially identified. I want to assure the countrymen that no one involved in this conspiracy, no matter where they are, will be spared."

He also said, "I urge you to maintain restraint. Do not listen to propaganda or rumors. We must unite and confront the fascist terrorists who want to create unrest. We will not fall into their trap. The defeated fascist forces will never return to the sacred soil of this country."
