Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has asserted that instead of mimicking other nations, Bangladesh will utilize its own potential to transform into a more developed and livable "Better Bangladesh."

Speaking as the chief guest at a civic gathering in Cox's Bazar, the head of government criticized the previous administration's empty rhetoric of turning the country into Singapore or Canada. Expressing frustration over the lack of expected development over the past 17 years since his return four and a half months ago, he emphasized that national progress cannot be achieved by the government alone and requires unified efforts across party lines.

Highlighting the need for public participation to make Cox's Bazar a clean, disciplined, and secure tourist hub, he reiterated promises to upgrade the local airport into a full international gateway and establish a dedicated Marine University. Following the event, the Prime Minister personally drove along the scenic Marine Drive before departing for Dhaka via a special flight.
