US Business Delegation Meets Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser

A high-level United States business delegation, led by Atul Keshap, President of the US-Bangladesh Business Council, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Humayun Kabir, at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and the United States, expand economic cooperation, and explore Bangladesh’s growing investment potential.

Welcoming the delegation, Humayun Kabir said that Bangladesh and the United States share a long-standing and multifaceted relationship. He noted that enhanced trade, investment, and broader economic cooperation could play a significant role in further strengthening bilateral ties.

Highlighting the opportunities available for US investors, Kabir said the government remains committed to ensuring a business-friendly and investment-friendly environment. He added that Bangladesh is currently undergoing a significant phase of economic transformation, creating new opportunities for international investors.

He also emphasized that closer partnerships with American businesses and investors could make meaningful contributions to Bangladesh’s economic growth, employment generation, and the exchange of technology and knowledge.

Atul Keshap expressed strong interest in Bangladesh’s economic prospects and investment opportunities. He underscored the importance of expanding cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries and reaffirmed the US-Bangladesh Business Council’s commitment to elevating bilateral business relations to a new level.

The discussions also covered prospects for increased cooperation in trade and investment, industrial development, infrastructure, energy, technology, the digital economy, healthcare, and other promising sectors where US investment could play a greater role.

Both sides stressed the importance of deepening engagement and partnerships between the business communities of Bangladesh and the United States to make bilateral economic relations more dynamic and mutually beneficial.
