A massive ballistic missile strike launched by Iran hit northern Israel early Friday (March 13), leaving at least 58 people injured and causing extensive property damage.
According to The Jerusalem Post, a missile directly struck a facility in the northern town of Zarzir, triggering a large fire and destroying several residential buildings. Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed that the injured, including a 17-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman, were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent care.
Footage released by the Fire and Rescue Services showed collapsed structures, shattered vehicles, and debris littering the streets. While rescue operations were underway in the north, a third wave of ballistic missile attacks targeted the southern city of Eilat after midnight. The Times of Israel reported that air-raid sirens blared across Eilat, though the military appears to have successfully intercepted the incoming projectile. This series of intensified strikes marks a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
