Ibrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee, has addressed former United States President Donald Trump, saying, “The Strait of Hormuz will open, but not for you.”
Speaking in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday night, Azizi clarified that the waterway will only be accessible to those who comply with Iran’s new rules.
He added that the 47 years of hospitality since the 1979 revolution are over permanently. According to Azizi, Trump ultimately fulfilled his goal of attempting to change Iran’s governance, but this change applies only to the maritime management of the region.
Meanwhile, the Iranian National Security Committee has reportedly approved a plan to impose tolls on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Fars News Agency.
