MUNA Holds Eid Reunion and Leadership Gathering in New York

The New York North Zone of Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA organized a leadership gathering and Eid reunion as part of its Dawah-focused activities on June 7 at Sagar Chinese Restaurant.

The event was presided over by Mominul Islam Majumder, President of the New York North Zone. Among the distinguished guests were former MUNA Former National Presidents Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman and Dr. Saidur Rahman Chowdhury; National Executive Director Arman Chowdhury, CPA; National Assistant Executive Directors Ahmad Abu Ubaida and Abdullah Al Arif; and Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, who also serves as Chairman of Al-Quran Dawah Center.

Other attendees included Dr. Ataul Haque OsmaniSheikh Jalal Uddin, former National Executive Director Anwarul Haque, veteran journalist Kazi Shamsul Haque, and leaders from various levels of the organization.

The program was conducted by Engineer Masudur Rahman, General Secretary of the New York North Zone. Members of the zone’s executive committee, including Didarul AlamProfessor Delwar MajumdarAbul HashemNurus Samad ChowdhuryKaykobad Kabir, and Shamsul Alam, provided overall support for the event.

Speakers emphasized that Dawah is one of the most important responsibilities and missions in the life of a believer. They noted that all prophets and messengers invited humanity toward truth and righteousness through Dawah. The speakers also highlighted the need to expand the message of Islam in response to growing challenges such as injustice, corruption, and moral decline in contemporary society.

The discussion further focused on the qualities and responsibilities of a Da'i (Islamic caller), as well as effective strategies for conducting Dawah activities in the modern, technology-driven era.

Participants exchanged Eid greetings and shared views on strengthening community engagement and outreach efforts. The program concluded with a special prayer seeking the welfare and unity of the Muslim Ummah and success in Dawah activities.
