Adhan Heard in The Ravno Mosque After 85 Years

Ravno Mosque, a serene mosque situated at the foot of the mountain. After lying desolate for 85 years, the melodious sound of the call to prayer was heard here again.

Akhbarul Bosnia reported that the dome of the mosque collapsed and the walls collapsed during the horrors of World War II. It has been deserted ever since.

The Ravno Mosque is located in the Kupres municipality of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was the heart of the religious, social and cultural life of local Muslims. But after being hit by an accident, its tall minaret stood silently for a long time.

Later, on May 17, 2024, with the persistent efforts and dedication of local Muslims, the initiative to rebuild the mosque began. Within just a few weeks, a new foundation stone laying ceremony was held on July 10.

Finally, on August 23, it was reopened to worshippers and the melodious sound of the call to prayer was officially heard again.
