Bangladeshi women have achieved remarkable success at the 30th Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Quran Memorization Competition held in Doha, Qatar. Competitors from Bangladesh secured top positions in two major categories, with a total of five Bangladeshi women winning awards at this prestigious international event.
Organized by the Women’s Activities Department of the Dawah and Religious Guidance Division under Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the competition honored the top five female winners across three divisions of full Quran memorization: Citizens, Advanced Memorizers, and General Memorizers. The award ceremony took place at the Sheraton Doha Hotel and was attended by senior officials from Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf along with representatives from various state institutions and educational sectors.

Participation Numbers Reflect Growing Interest
This year’s competition saw enthusiastic participation, with 957 competitors registering across different categories. Among them, 546 women competed in the Citizens division, while 411 participants took part in the three divisions of full Quran memorization.
Bangladeshi women’s outstanding performance at the event highlights their growing prominence on the global stage in Quran memorization and religious scholarship.
