The Iranian President and the chairman of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen called for efforts to consolidate unity among the Muslim nations to counter the enemies. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen Mahdi Al-Mashat.

The Iranian president stated that the holy month of Ramadan serves as an opportunity for the Muslims to reinforce their unity, emphasizing that such solidarity can prevent the adversaries from oppressing any Islamic nation. Al-Mashat, for his part, hailed Iran’s commitment to fostering unity among the Muslim nations.

He noted that if the Islamic countries prioritize their commonalities and come together, they will be able to thwart the ambitions of the arrogant powers. He also stated that the situation in Yemen differs significantly from the narratives propagated by the adversaries.

By focusing on shared objectives, he argued, the Muslim nations can unite and strengthen their collective stance against the external threats.

The discussion coincides with ongoing U.S. airstrikes in Yemen, which have resulted in civilian casualties. The conflict has also seen the Houthi rebels, aligned with Iran, targeting Israeli and American interests in the region.

These actions are portrayed as part of a broader resistance against perceived oppression and aggression.

Both leaders called for an end to violence and oppression, advocating for a collective stand against injustices affecting countries like Palestine and Gaza.

They expressed confidence that through unity, Muslim nations can achieve peace, security, and prosperity in the region.
