NEWS DESKPresident Donald Trump has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Charlie Kirk, a popular conservative thinker and speaker among young Americans. Trump described the incident as a “dark moment” for the United States.
According to British news outlet Truth Social, in a video message posted on his own platform, Trump said, “I am deeply saddened and equally outraged by this brutal killing.”
In the video, Trump further stated, “Charlie was a symbol of truth and freedom, a true patriot. Everyone who knew and loved Charlie is shocked and stunned today.”
Trump blamed “radical leftists” for Charlie’s death. He claimed that the inflammatory rhetoric of the left played a role in the murder of this conservative activist. “For many years, radical leftists have compared exceptional Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst ruthless killers and criminals,” Trump said. He added, “The kind of terrorist activities we are witnessing in our country today are directly linked to such rhetoric. This must stop immediately.”
Trump also promised to take strict action against those involved in the killing. In the video, he said, “My administration will not tolerate this brutality or other political violence. We will also identify who is funding and supporting these organizations.”
Charlie was shot during an event at a university in Utah on Wednesday. The bullet struck his neck, and he later died while receiving medical treatment in the hospital. The Governor of Utah described the incident as a “political assassination.” The suspected shooter remains at large, and the police have not yet released any information about possible suspects.
