The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the ongoing war against Iran will intensify in the coming days.

Trump said that the United States would launch a stronger strike on Iran soon. “A very hard blow will be delivered to Iran within the next week,” he said in an interview with Fox News.

At the same time, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that American attacks would escalate immediately. “Today, the level of U.S. strikes in Iranian airspace will be the highest so far,” he said.

Trump expressed confidence that the war led by the United States against Iran would ultimately succeed.

Speaking about Iran’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said the United States was prepared to protect ships from various countries passing through the vital waterway if necessary.

Earlier, while addressing a gathering in Hebron, Kentucky, Trump said, “We have won. But to finish the job, this war must continue.”

Meanwhile, during a press conference in Arlington, Virginia, Defense Secretary Hegseth said the United States would keep pushing forward in the conflict. He added that the largest number of airstrikes so far would be carried out in Iran.

Hegseth also claimed that the United States and Israel had already achieved significant military success in the campaign. According to him, joint operations by the two countries have struck more than 15,000 targets inside Iran.

He said the campaign is aimed at defeating, destroying, and disabling Iran’s key military capabilities.

The United States and Israel began their attacks on Iran on February 28. In response, Iran has launched retaliatory strikes targeting Israel and American bases and installations across the Middle East.
