Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has identified increasing tax revenue and attracting domestic and foreign investment as the government's top priorities to tackle the current economic crisis.

He made these remarks on Friday afternoon while inspecting the site for a proposed government hospital in the Patenga area of Chattogram.

The Minister emphasized that without significant investment, generating employment is impossible. "Creating jobs is a core part of the BNP's electoral commitment, which is why our upcoming budget will prioritize education, healthcare, and employment," he stated.

Representing the Chattogram-11 constituency, Amir Khosru highlighted the long-standing need for a major healthcare facility in Patenga. He announced plans to establish a large general hospital on 14.21 acres of land acquired by the Bangladesh Navy. The project is expected to include specialized medical services, a nursing institute, and a separate facility for medical technologists.
