Iran has warned that American, European, or Israeli vessels seen in the Strait of Hormuz could be targeted, according to statements reported by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The report said vessels from the United States, European countries, or Israel passing through the strategic waterway could become targets. Iranian officials also warned that maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz would remain “under Iran’s control” during wartime.

At the same time, a senior official from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters — responsible for coordinating large-scale military operations and strategic planning — said the country has not closed the Strait of Hormuz.

The deputy commander of the headquarters said Iran is still handling passing ships according to international protocols.

However, he emphasized that Iran is prepared for the conflict to continue “for as long as necessary” until its declared objectives are achieved.

Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters also warned that continued “American deception,” as it described it, could lead to the collapse of military and economic infrastructure across the region.
