Allegations have emerged that Israel has imposed strict restrictions on the media during the ongoing conflict with Iran. Indian journalist Brajmohan Singh made the claims after returning from a recent visit to Israel, saying authorities have limited the publication of accurate information about casualties and damage during the war.
According to a report by The Current, journalists have faced tight restrictions while gathering and reporting information about the destruction caused by Iranian missile attacks. As a result, obtaining reliable information from affected locations has become difficult.
Sharing his experience, Brajmohan Singh said that in many cases Iranian missiles struck even before warning sirens were sounded. He also claimed that civilian deaths occurred inside bunkers and shelters that the government had previously described as safe.
He further alleged that journalists’ access to hospitals has been restricted in order to conceal the real number of casualties. According to him, the government is withholding significant information.
“Journalists are not allowed to enter hospitals where bodies are being kept,” Singh said. “Even when an incident occurs, it is often difficult to determine exactly where it happened.”
Singh also claimed that reporters were prevented from photographing or filming the destruction caused by Iranian attacks. He said media coverage of the conflict is being strictly controlled.
His statements have spread widely on social media, with many citing them as an example of military censorship by Israel.
However, the Israeli government has not yet issued any official statement or comment regarding these allegations.
The report also noted that on February 28 the United States and Israel jointly launched strikes on several facilities in Iran. In response, Iran carried out ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli territory and U.S. bases in the Gulf region. Since then, tensions between the two sides have escalated further.
