Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has delivered a special message from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in Saint Petersburg on Monday.

The meeting comes as Moscow and Tehran maintain close coordination following the escalation of U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran. The two countries are bound by a “strategic partnership” agreement and have been in constant communication since the beginning of the conflict.

During the meeting, Putin said Russia would do everything possible to support the interests of Iran and other countries in the region.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for Moscow’s backing and reaffirmed that Iran would continue its struggle against the United States.

According to sources, Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and other senior officials are expected to hold a high-level meeting soon. The focus will be on the current state of efforts to halt the war between United States and Iran.

The Kremlin said it is ready to assist politically and diplomatically in resolving the conflict and finding a path toward a peaceful settlement.
