MUNA Hosts Networking Dinner in Honor of Media Personnel

The Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA), North Zone, organized a networking dinner and discussion meeting in honor of Bangladeshi-origin journalists working in Michigan. The event took place at a local restaurant in Warren City on Sunday, June 13.

The meeting was chaired under the leadership of MUNA North Zone President Nesar Uddin, CPA, and was moderated by North Zone Media & Cultural Department Director Sahedul Islam.

Anisur Rahman Gazi, MUNA’s National Director of Communication, Media and Cultural Department was present as the Chief Guest and addressed the attendees. He emphasized the vital role of journalists as the "conscience of the nation" and urged them to maintain neutrality and objectivity in their reporting.

MUNA Office and Center Director Oliur Rahman, MUNA Publications Director Khairul Hasan Rafiq, Islamic Center of Warren President Maulana Rafiqul Islam, and Warren North Chapter President Engineer Muhammad Idris Ali also spoke as Special Guests.

Among the media personnel present were Daily Manabzamin correspondent Helal Uddin Rana, Daily Khowai Editor Shamim Ahsan, DBC News correspondent Ashiqur Rahman, TBN24 correspondent Tofail Reza Sohel, BanglaVision correspondent Sahel Ahmed, journalist Mohammad Ubaidullah, and Daily Jalalabad newspaper's Editor Sulaiman Al Mahmud.

In his speech, Anisur Rahman Gazi also shared insights about MUNA’s mission and vision, and called upon the media and community to extend their full support and cooperation to make the upcoming MUNA Convention-2025 a success.
