The annual iftar gathering organized by the West Zone and Los Angeles Chapter of Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA was held on February 22 (Sunday).
The event took place at the historic Hollywood Mosque in Los Angeles. MUNA officials, community members, and local Muslims attended the program, which began at 4:00 p.m. and continued through iftar with various segments.
Among the distinguished guests were MUNA National Assistant Executive Director Anisur Rahman Gazi and Professor Dr. Ruhul Amin. In their brief remarks, they highlighted the significance of Ramadan, the importance of self-purification, and the need for unity among Muslims living in the diaspora.


Speakers noted that such gatherings play a vital role in strengthening brotherhood and mutual understanding within the expatriate Muslim community. They also called for enhanced social and religious initiatives to promote Islamic values among the younger generation.

The program concluded with prayers and a special supplication, followed by the serving of iftar to all attendees.
Organizers said they plan to continue arranging similar events in the future to further strengthen bonds within the Muslim community abroad.
