MUNA Orange County Chapter Secretary Md. Al Mamun’s mother and Hollywood Chapter member Dola Chowdhury’s mother-in-law, Mst. Monowara Begum, has passed away. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
She breathed her last at 1:20 a.m. Bangladesh time on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Aurora Hospital in Dhaka. Family sources said she passed away while on life support after suffering from prolonged illness.
Her death has prompted an outpouring of condolences from leaders and members of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA. Among those expressing their condolences were MUNA National Assistant Executive Director Anisur Rahman Gazi, MUNA West Zone President Abdul Mannan, Vice President Ashraf Hossain Akbar, and leaders and activists from various levels of the zone and chapter.
In a condolence message, the leaders prayed for the forgiveness and eternal peace of the deceased and expressed their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family. They also prayed for the speedy recovery of Al Mamun’s father, who is currently seriously ill, and urged members of the community to remember him in their prayers.
According to family sources, Al Mamun’s father had been receiving hospital treatment for an extended period and is now in serious condition and on bed rest at home.
Mst. Monowara Begum is survived by two sons and two daughters, along with numerous relatives, friends, and well-wishers.
Family members and MUNA leaders have requested the community to pray for the forgiveness of the deceased, for patience and strength for the bereaved family, and for the speedy recovery of Al Mamun’s ailing father.
