A fundraising dinner was held in Los Angeles to support the Hollywood Mosque. The event took place on October 5 (Sunday) at The One Banquet Hall in the city.
The program was moderated by Engineer Ismail Hossain, Director of Communications, Media and Cultural Affairs of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA West Zone.
MUNA National Assistant Executive Director Anisur Rahman Gazi was the keynote speaker at the event. Through a presentation, he highlighted the activities of the Hollywood Mosque, its future plans and its role in serving the local Muslim community. He also encouraged attendees to support the mosque’s activities and make donations.
Imam Sheikh Hamdi was present as a special speaker.
MUNA West Zone President Abdur Mannan, Vice President Ashraf Hossain Akbar and Secretary Abdul Malek also attended the event. On behalf of the seven chapters under the West Zone, they announced donations to support the Hollywood Mosque.
The organizers said community support and participation are essential to furthering the activities of the Hollywood Mosque. The fundraising dinner was organized to raise funds for the mosque’s development and its various religious and community initiatives.
