MUNA Brooklyn East Chapter Hosts Educational Session in Brooklyn

The Brooklyn East Chapter of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA hosted an educational session on Tuesday, July 21, drawing participation from chapter members and associates.

The session commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Salauddin Mohammad Russel, Media and Cultural Secretary of the chapter. Following the recitation, Md. Fakhrul Islam Faisal, an artist from the Ummah Cultural Group, performed a nasheed. The event was moderated by Chapter Executive Board Member Maulana Mostafa Kamal.

Chapter President Maulana Motasim Billah Siraji delivered the opening remarks, setting the tone for the program. Maulana Emdad Ullah, President of MUNA New York South Zone, subsequently presented a dars (exegesis) based on Surah As-Saff. Professor Dr. Mohammad Ruhul Amin, MUNA National Assistant Executive Director, also addressed the audience as a featured speaker.

The second half of the program, conducted after the Maghrib prayer, was moderated by Chapter Secretary Maulana Abu Saleh Nayeb Ali. MUNA National Vice President Harun Or Rashid delivered the address as the chief guest.

In his speech, Harun Or Rashid emphasized the importance of following the da'wah (missionary) work of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), drawing inspiration from the lives of the Companions (Sahabah), sharing the message of Islam on an individual level, and fulfilling organizational responsibilities to improve overall quality and reach.

Organizers noted that the event was conducted smoothly with the sincere support of chapter executive board members and leaders. The educational session concluded following the Isha prayer and a community dinner.
