Free Qur'an Distribution at Bangladeshi-American Annual Picnic in Connecticut

The Dawah Department of the MUNA Connecticut Chapter organized a free Qur'an distribution campaign during the Bangladesh Association of Connecticut (BAAC) Annual Picnic 2026, reaching hundreds of attendees with copies of the Qur'an and introductory Islamic literature.

Alongside the distribution of free Qur'ans, the team also handed out English-language brochures introducing the basic teachings of Islam, with a particular focus on engaging younger participants. Organizers noted strong interest from attendees in learning more about MUNA and its community activities. The English-language flyers were especially well received by youth at the event.

According to the organizers, the day-long picnic attracted approximately 600 participants, bringing together Bangladeshi-American families and community members of all ages in a festive atmosphere.

Among those present at the event were Professor Nurul Amin, President of the MUNA Connecticut Chapter; Abdur Rahim, Treasurer of the chapter; Akbar Uddin, Team Member of MUNA National Communication, Media and Cultural Department; and Connecticut Chapter Associate Members Hamza Qureshi and Mohammad Rubel.

The Qur'an distribution initiative, organized by the Dawah Department of the MUNA Connecticut Chapter, aimed to introduce attendees to the fundamental teachings of Islam and share the message of the Qur'an with members of the community.
