Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has held a series of preparatory meetings with Hajj affairs offices from 78 countries ahead of the 2027 Hajj season.
The meetings were held to coordinate preparations, operational plans and various services before pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Officials reviewed progress on different stages of Hajj preparations, including the implementation of approved schedules, Hajj package procedures and contracts with authorized service providers.
The meetings also covered arrangements for pilgrims’ accommodation, transportation, food services and crowd management. Officials discussed awareness and guidance programs for pilgrims, as well as rules and regulations governing Hajj operations.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said preparations by Hajj offices in various countries are being continuously monitored. Potential problems are being identified and addressed at an early stage, with specific responsibilities and deadlines set for each stage of the process.
According to the ministry, preparations for the 2027 Hajj season began in May, when preparatory documents and operational schedules were sent to Hajj affairs offices in different countries. Authorities also conducted a comprehensive assessment of operations during the previous Hajj season.
Saudi authorities said the early and coordinated planning aims to provide pilgrims with a more organized, smooth and comfortable experience. The preparations are also part of efforts to achieve the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The SPA report said advance coordination of Hajj operations is expected to further strengthen cooperation among Hajj affairs offices from participating countries, service providers and Saudi authorities.
