$2 Billion Remittances have Received on July 27

Bangladeshi expatriates have sent remittances amounting to $2.09 billion in the first 27 days of July, the first month of the current fiscal year 2025-26.

Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson for the Bangladesh Bank, confirmed these figures Sunday.

According to central bank data, the expatriates were sent $1.57 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY2024-25). It means inward remittance flow has grown by 33.6 percent in 27 days of July.

On 27 July, the expatriates sent $166 million remittance in a single day. The expatriates sent $30.32 billion remittance in FY 2024-25, which is the highest ever.
