Number of Voters in Bangladesh 12.76 Cr : EC

Bangladesh’s draft voter roll has risen to 12,76,12,384 after the third phase of updates, Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhtar Ahmed told reporters on Sunday (November 2).

Of the total, 64,760,382 are men and 62,850,072 are women, while 1,230 people are registered as hijra (third gender), he said.

The EC will publish the final roll after completing the claims and objections process.

According to the secretary, 1,304,880 new voters were added between September 1 and October 31.
