Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has declared that the public's hard-earned money will no longer be allowed to fill the pockets of the corrupt.

Addressing a street rally on Saturday evening while passing through Sitakunda on a long march heading toward Chattogram, he took a strong stance against corruption, looting, and the deprivation of public rights, vowing that all avenues of corruption will be shut down to secure citizens' rights.

Criticizing the government for failing to fulfill pre-election pledges, the Jamaat chief noted that aside from distributing a couple of cards, no sustainable solutions have been provided for the fundamental problems faced by working-class people. Urging the public to unite against corruption, he called upon the crowd to close down corrupt syndicates, receiving an enthusiastic show of hands in support. Furthermore, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman demanded the implementation of the referendum's verdict, stating that respecting the people's mandate is a democratic necessity rather than a favor. Praising the dedication of the thousands of activists participating in the long march, he concluded by affirming that the struggle for public rights will continue until success is achieved.
