Sagar-Runi Murder Case: Prosecution Involves Ziaul Ahsan and Rokeya Prachi in High-Level Taskforce Update

The prosecution has informed a high-level taskforce that former military official Ziaul Ahsan and actress-politician Rokeya Prachi are implicated in the sensational murder case of journalist couple Sagar and Runi.

The update was presented before the High Court by Attorney General Md. Ruhul Quddus Kajal.

During the court proceedings, the state was granted an additional six months to complete the investigation, with the next hearing scheduled for April 29. According to the progress report, initial findings by International Crimes Tribunal prosecutors linked the two figures to the crime, and the gathered digital evidence and testimonies are being coordinated with the PBI investigation team. The special taskforce has interrogated around 90 witnesses and recorded 24 depositions as part of the ongoing probe.
