A new political platform, United Peoples Bangladesh (UP Bangladesh), was officially launched in the capital, Dhaka, on April 9, 2025. The platform aims to create a Bangladesh free from fascism, imperialism, religious intolerance, and corruption. It is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the July People's Uprising.

The inauguration event took place at the Central Shaheed Minar, where the central committee was announced. The committee was formed under the leadership of Ali Ahsan Junaid, who was appointed as the convener, with Arifin Muhammad Hizbullah as the general secretary, Rafe Salman Rifat as the chief coordinator, and Shahreen Sultana Ira as the spokesperson.

The event began at 4:20 PM with the recitation of the Holy Quran. People from various parts of the country gathered at the Shaheed Minar well ahead of time. Families of martyrs from the July Uprising also joined the ceremony, including Shafiul Alam, the father of martyr Wasim.

Convener Ali Ahsan Junaid emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by martyrs and injured during historical incidents like the Pilkhana Massacre and the Shapla Square killings. He stated that their political movement will be based on these sacrifices. He also announced that the interim government would stand on the sacrifices of the past 16 years, and they aim to bring national unity by publishing a declaration based on the aspirations of the July Uprising families and non-partisan citizens.

Shahid Osman Patuary's father expressed frustration with the government's lack of action on justice, urging the immediate banning of the Awami League, whom he accused of helping criminals escape justice.

Rafe Salman Rifat, the chief coordinator, added that the goal of UP Bangladesh is to implement the July Uprising's aspirations and form a new political order in the country. He urged all individuals to unite for a corruption-free Bangladesh.

The event featured a board with a slogan reading "Death to Fascism and the Awami League" and a motif stating "I will give my life, but never give up July."
